Vocation Story

I was raised primarily as a pagan, but I, along with the rest of my family, converted to Catholicism when I was fifteen years old. Since then, we have learned everything we can about the Triune God and His Church. Later, about ten years after my conversion, I was helping with a Confirmation retreat. It was a Saturday night, and we had planned to have adoration and confession available for the retreatants, but all the priests in the area suddenly had to leave due to various unavoidable emergencies. I was sad that there were not enough priests to offer our teenagers confession or to expose the blessed sacrament for them. It was at that moment that I began to feel the Lord calling me to pursue the priesthood, among other reasons, to bring the sacraments to His people.

Who or what inspires you to be a priest?

Jesus Christ!

Why Santa Fe?

Because it is my home diocese.
